Crystal Bar: Essential Chakra Kit Review

Crystal Bar is a vegan company started by Kat, an amazing Aquarius. Not only is she the CEO, she also takes part of every aspect of her business. Now that's a lady of power! Recently she's been posting on instagram about what it's like to be a small business owner. I'm learning a lot from these posts.

Today I will be reviewing one of her top sellers, the Essential Chakra Kit. There is a soap for each of the 7 major chakras.

"These vegan and handmade soaps have been combined to create our Essential Chakra Kit. Each soap is unique and inspired by one of the 7 chakras, each bar was created to enhance the energy and experience of the stone within." - Essential Chakra Kit

Each set is housed in a beautiful box and includes a detailed product card for each soap.

I am no stranger to Crystal Bar soap. I first tried the Enchanting Love soap from my Goddess Provisions October box. I instantly fell in love with how special and magical it was. I've made a couple of orders since and have expanded my collection. The customer service has always been lovely.

Once you have finished your soap, there is a crystal inside for you to keep! I love using the soaps to wash my hands with. Washing with the intention of the crystal as well as love and light has truly uplifted me.

My set was missing the product card for the sacral chakra soap, so I decided to take a picture of it. You can see the shimmer and golden glow in this bar. Look at those layers! They are even more gorgeous in person.

Overall, these soaps get an A+ from me! I wouldn't change anything about them. They have fantastic concepts, look beautifully magical, and each soap is so unique. They are handcut and made with love. Every kind of soap has a different crystal, smell, colour and design.

They make fantastic gifts. I tried a bathbomb from them before and it was just a lovely experience. Spoiler: they also have crystals inside as well!

So what are you waiting for? Check out Crystal Bar.

Goddess Provisions Review: September 2016

Yesterday I was gifted this beautiful terrarium which definitely already has improved the vibes of my home. Coincidently, the September Goddess Provisions box is all about Positive Vibes. I definitely felt positive opening it, since it's my birthday month it feels extra special to me. Let's get into it:

The crystal was a surprise this month, you could've gotten either a Fluorite or Sodalite wand. So naturally first thing I did was open the bag. It was a Sodalite wand! I'm totally sensing a theme in my life, in my last post I talked about the Throat Chakra and Sodalite is perfect for that. This crystal is known for aiding with truth, communication, learning, and helping to retain information. It also helps with the Third Eye Chakra as well as with clairvoyance and psychic abilities. The wand is quite big, so I'll be doing some research on how best to use it.

The Blue Lotus Chai's instant Golden Chai was delicious. It's hands down the best instant tea I've ever had. It has a really robust taste and warming quality. After adding a bit of sugar and almond milk, it was perfection in a cup. This is the tea I'll be turning to in the winter months.

This month it's a bit crystal themed, we have a cute crystal shaped soap bar from Moon Souls. I agree with Goddess Provisions... it IS almost too cute to use! I want to put it on display but I think I'll have more fun washing my hands with this magical soap.

We received another pin, this time it's from Enemy to Fashion. I'll be gifting this one to a friend that could use some positive vibes. I really like how this box is full of tools that you can help yourself and others with!

This next product has an interesting concept. The body oil from Dancing Love Organics is meant to be part a ritual to help with meditation. The most inquisitive part to me is that it's paired with a Malachite crystal. I've used Malachite before and it brought up a lot of emotions for me. It is a very powerful crystal. I don't know if I could relax and mediate with a Malachite! However, I do know just the person who this set would benefit right now so it will make a lovely gift.

Unfortunately I don't smudge or clear my home as much as I should. This smudge spray from Momoko Therapeutics seems like it will rectify that. I'd like to charge it with the full moon's energy before using it.

Another negative energy cleanser was included, a blue sage smudge stick. This one has a very potent smell so I think I'll use the smudge spray after using it. Sage is amazing to clear yourself and your space.

Overall, a great box as usual. My favourite item was the Blue Lotus Chai and I look forward to using the Sodalite wand. I can't wait for October's box! I wonder if it will be fall themed.

What is your favourite thing to do to bring in positive vibes?

Goddess Provisions Review: August 2016

Surprise! A back-to-back review of my favourite subscription box ever, Goddess Provisions. August's theme is "Meditate + Celebrate. Spoiler: It's a fantastic, mystical box!

We received a Rose Quartz sphere! I've been wanting a sphere crystal for quite some time now. The sense of humour of the Universe is beyond me... my best friend also gave me a Rose Quartz sphere in August too! Spheres are excellent to meditate with because of the way they emit energy. Place Rose Quartz spheres in areas you want to feel more loving, calming energy.

100 Percent Pure is my favourite all natural cosmetic brand. They make the purest products in the world from fruit and vegetables. They recently came out with a line of "Gemmed Lip Gloss" which contain a mix of crystal powders. I already have the colour "Moonstone" and love it. The sparkle is so pretty and it smells like green apple. It's a thicker consistency so I recommend not putting too much on. This month I received the colour "Citrine"... which leads me to believe that manifestation is real. I have a lot of Citrine coming into my life, thanks Universe!

It's time for the scents of the month, first up is Barefoot Island from Gypsy Soul Organics. I wasn't very fond of it at all. Then I realized you really need to shake it before use. That helped a lot but I find the smell still a bit too woody for my taste. I use it as an air freshener to help clear the energy of the room.

The "Meditation Station" roll-on from Soulful Essence is also very woody, with Juniper and Frankincense. I can handle this one better than the Barefoot Island spray. I smell it whenever I want to quiet my thoughts and bring myself to the present moment.

Our edible of the month is from Karma Nuts. The wrapped cashews are dried with the skins on for optimal nutrition. The small package was a substantial snack for me. You definitely only need a little bit to feel satisfied!

Whenever we receive a candle, it will always have a place in my home. They're always unique and have some kind of meaning. This month it's from Ebb & Flow and is called "Midnight Moonlight." The scent is sandalwood and amber. I was burning it while writing this post. The aroma is gentle and is very calming.

The final item is a pin from Weird Empire. Based on the craziness of everyday life, I'm sure we can all relate to feeling like we're in retrograde more than when they occur. I placed this as a decoration in my spiritual space.

Overall, another creative box from Goddess Provisions. My favourite items were the Rose Quartz sphere and the candle. September's box is fast approaching, the spoilers look good. Since we're in the middle of the biggest Retrograde of the year, Goddess Provisions has also has come out with a limited edition box full of tools to help you survive it. You can find it here.

What do you do to Meditate and Celebrate yourself?

Goddess Provisions Box Review: January 2016

Today I'll be reviewing one of my favourite subscription boxes, Goddess Provisions. This is my fourth box. It's a monthly box but you can also buy previously released boxes in their "Shop" section. It's 35$ USD per month (you know that I must love this box to not cancel after the Canadian exchange rate!) Below is a description taken from their website:

"Each box will contain a mix of 4-6 full size products including:  Aromatherapy, Crystals, Apothecary Beauty, Super Food Snacks, Tools for Spiritual Growth, Tea. Our boxes are always cruelty-free & vegan."

This month's theme is "Self-Care." Every box comes with a card letting you know what goodies you've received in your box. Let's get into this month's products. Pictures of the products will follow the descriptions.

I was really excited to see a tinted balm this month. The product card that came is so gorgeous, on the back is a code for 20% off the Concrete Minerals website! I've never heard of this company before, so I'm excited to try it. Alas, I have too many lip products open right now, so I'll have to wait a bit to test this beauty. There were a few different colours sent out, so it was a surprise to see which colour you got. I'm happy I got the rosy nude one :)

Every month, so far, we have received a crystal. I'll be honest, one of the reasons I first suscribed was to grow my crystal collection. This month it's tangerine quartz. Goddess Provisions describes this crystal as, "Metaphysically, tangerine quartz carries an energy that allows for new and clear interpretations of the events that effect us most It supports balance in the Sacral Chakra and helps to "Put the Past in the Past." It can raise your vibration to be more positive, and in turn make it easier for you to connect to others."

We received a generous size of bath salts, and like the lip balm it was a surprise to see which scent you got. I was really happy to get the one I was most drawn to, Drift. I'll wait to use this for a special day.

OMG! This roll-on fragrance from The Goddess Line smells so divine! I'm so in love with how it smells. It's both delicious and calming, the notes are vanilla, amber and almond oil. Not sure if you can tell from the picture, I think because of the coconut oil, but there's little chunks of white in the bottle. It's quite cold these days in Montreal, Canada so I'm anxiously awaiting warmer days to wear this.

Last but not least is the Yes to Cacao meditation chocolate. I'm a vegetarian transitioning to being vegan. I'm still adjusting to vegan chocolate but this chocolate is unique in taste. The tumeric actually works well and doesn't off put the taste. At the back of the chocolate bar it says, "Make a wish and take a bite." It's cute that it has a positive intention and the bar is stamped with "YES."

As always, I am very impressed and happy with this month's Goddess Provisions Box. My favourite item is the Parvati perfume. On a side note, Parvati is the Hindu Goddess of love, fertility, and devotion. I resonate with her because I have a love for mountains. I recommend looking up her story.

Goddess Provisions already released some spoiler pictures for their February box, it looks amazing. Check out their Instagram feed if you want more info @goddessprovisonsHave you tried the Goddess Provisions Box? What are your thoughts on the January box?

Resolutions

Every January many of us make resolutions to become better versions of ourselves. Some of us succeed while most of us slowly give up. I know that I've been stuck in this "January, new year, new me" business since high school.

My spiritual practice teaches that consistency is key to achieve anything. It truly helps you to build a strong foundation in the world so that greater things can come from it.

My resolution for this year is to build a strong foundation for myself so that I will be able to reach my goals. In my practice, there are four pillars work, spirituality, health, and relationships. For example, you couldn't build a house on a poor foundation. So, If you had poor health, how could you think of much else until you fix it?

My goals this year are to strengthen my spiritual practice, improve my health, improve my finances, take on more creative projects and to keep a clean, decluttered home. How? By doing something about all of these things every day. What you do everyday will have a greater impact than doing something once a week or once in awhile. It's all about making daily habits so it becomes a general lifestyle change.

Many say the key to success is to do things step by step. If you don't have a good day, that's ok. Tomorrow's a new day and a fresh start to learn from the past mistakes of yesterday. No one said that your path up the mountain was going to be easy.

Best of luck to all of you and hope that you achieve all that you need to this year!

What are your resolutions? What's your plan to achieve them?
